Satpal Singh is the Founder, CEO & President of Smart Imaging Systems Inc. He has extensive experience in design and development of Electronics instruments including about 30 years at NASA designing nuclear radiation detection electronics and instruments. His experience includes his role as Lead Engineer, Systems Engineer, Project and Contract management. He is a recipient of several NASA performance awards for his work on various instruments and is also a recipient of the NASA Public Service Medal in 2000.
Dr. Hams is a Space Scientist working on NASA’s space science projects with special focus on instrumentation. His title is Senior Research Scientist at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and works at Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA, Greenbelt, MD. He brings his wide range of skills, which include detector development, electronics, systems engineering, project management, and field deployment of large, complex, and mostly autonomous payloads to Smart Imaging Systems where he is the Principal Scientist.
Shahid Aslam is Senior Engineer at Smart Imaging Systems, Inc. While at NASA, his research interests included the development of remote sensing instrument hardware using state-of-the-art detector technology and electronics. His research efforts have also led to direct contributions to many NASA flight programs, e.g., Pressure Modulated Infra-Red Radiometer (PMIRR) on Mars Observer; Composite Infra-Red Spectrometer (CIRS) on Cassini; Gas and Aerosol Monitoring Sensor-craft (GAMS); Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment III (SAGE III) and James Web Space Telescope (JWST).
Linda Carr is a founding member of Smart Imaging Systems Inc., and is the Operations Manager. She has worked in various roles for a number of electronic component manufacturing companies including Microdot and Advanced Micro-Devices. She has supported Distribution, Sales, Marketing and Operations.
An investor, serial entrepreneur and mentor. CEO of Power Fingerprinting, a principal of Blu Venture Investors, board member of ThreatQuotient, advisor of Smart Imaging Systems, N5 Sensors, and Zoom Social. Founder and former CEO of 3eTI, an Intel Capital portfolio company, CTO and m&a for EFJohnson, a $150M public company, $300M+ SBIR contracts, chairman of the IEEE 1451.5 Std for Wireless Sensor Networks.
Peter Harris has been a senior advisor to the company since 2012. He founded and is President of Yankee Foxtrot, Inc., a consulting company dedicated to aviation security. In that capacity he and his company have contributed strategic leadership, sales and marketing expertise and 25 years of knowledge in the explosives detection sector.
